Beef Bungs are natural sausage casing used for cappicola, veal sausage, large bologna, lebanon and cooked salami. When refrigerated, the casings are done with purified salt, thus ensuring longevity. The capacity of casings ranges from 8-10 lbs. Beef bung should be flushed before using. Not edible. Proper storage ensures longevity of these salted castings and when refrigerated and packed in purified salt they become highly durable. When unrefrigerated, they produce a very intense odor, though they are not spoiled. To reduce the intensity of odor, put these rings back into the refrigerator.
