Masticating Juicers

  • Starting at $149.95
  • Low RPM (better for juicing)
  • Higher yield
  • Juices fruits, vegetables,
    wheatgrass and other greens
  • Make nut butters, paté,
    & baby food
  • Some models make pasta

Masticating Juicers use a single gear, or auger, that literally chews fruit and vegetable fibers and breaks up the plant cells, resulting in more fiber, enzymes, vitamins and trace minerals. Masticating juicers are generally more efficient than Centrifugal juicers because they can extract more juice from the same amount of food (i.e. the pulp comes out dryer). Single auger masticating juicers are very capable at juicing most fruits and vegetables, and they will also extract juice from wheatgrass, spinach, and other leafy greens and herbs.

Another benefit of masticating juicers is that they operate at slower speeds (RPMs) than centrifugal juicers, resulting in less foam and heat, which means more nutrition in your glass. Single auger masticating juicers are also more versatile than centrifugal juicers because, in addition to extracting juices, these auger juicers also homogenize foods to make baby foods, pates, sauces, nut butters, banana ice creams and fruit sorbets. Some of these juicers can even extrude pasta and make rice cakes!

Brands of Masticating Single Gear / Single Auger juicers we represent include Champion, Hurom, Kuvings, Lexen, Omega, Samson, and Tribest. (Note: the Champion Juicer does not juice wheatgrass or greens well).

I enjoyed the juicer the first week.

November 29, 2016
My husband did not ask and he put the plastic parts in the dishwasher so I don't think the parts fit as well as they did. I tried juicing cut up greens. I got much more juice from spinach and greens and I had to keep cleaning it when I juiced kudzu (cut into little pieces). The frozen fruit tasted great. That is when we got into trouble with the plastic parts becoming jammed. This is not the machine for me.
