| Product Description:
Generally used for cappicola, veal sausage, large bologna, lebanon and cooked salami. Sausage Maker casings are packed in purified salt for an indefinite shelf life when refrigerated. Casing has a stuffing capacity of 8-10 lbs. Casings should be flushed before using. Not edible. Salted casings have a very long shelf life when stored properly. When refrigerated, packed liberally in purified salt, they have an indefinite shelf life. Un-refrigerated, these salted casings quickly begin to give off a strong odor even though they are not spoiled. Put them back under refrigeration and this odor for the most part subsides.
